Your heart and health readings stay on your phone.
1Introduction
Heart Tracker・Monitor BP & BMI (“the App”) is published by Trusted Tool and Utilities App (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data covered by this policy.
The App has no accounts and does not send your blood pressure, heart rate, or body measurements to our servers. The free version shows ads and uses Google services for analytics and crash reporting. A paid Premium subscription removes ads.
This policy explains what data is handled, why, and what choices you have.
2Information you enter or measure
Everything below is stored only in the App’s private storage on your device. You either enter it yourself or the App measures it on your device.
- Profile: a name or nickname, your age or date of birth, gender, height, and weight.
- Blood pressure: systolic and diastolic values, pulse, and the date and time of each reading.
- Heart rate: pulse readings that you measure with the camera and flash or enter yourself.
- Body measurements: weight, height, and the BMI calculated from them.
- Settings: units (for example kg/lb or cm/ft), language, and appearance.
This is sensitive health information. We do not send these readings to Google, advertisers, or any other third party. We do not use them to choose ads or in analytics.
3Camera heart rate measurement
To measure your heart rate, you place a fingertip over the rear camera and the App turns on the flash. The App reads small changes in colour in the camera image to estimate your pulse.
- The camera is used only while a measurement is running.
- Camera frames are processed in real time on your device and are never saved, recorded, or uploaded.
- Only the final pulse number is stored, and only if you save it.
- The App does not take photos or videos and does not access your gallery.
4Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the Google services described below collect:
- Device and app information: device model, Android version, app version, language, time zone, and an app instance ID.
- Approximate location: your country or region, worked out from your IP address. The App does not use GPS.
- Advertising ID: a resettable identifier used for ads and ad measurement.
- Usage events: screens viewed and features used, such as opening the heart rate screen. These events do not contain your health readings.
- Crash and diagnostic logs: error reports, plus the state of the App and device when a problem occurs.
- Ad interactions: which ads were shown and tapped.
- Subscription status: whether Premium is active. Google Play handles payment, so we never see your card or payment details.
5How your information is used
On your device, the App uses your readings to:
- measure your heart rate
- calculate your BMI
- classify blood pressure readings into categories
- show your history, charts, and trends
Automatically collected information is used to show ads in the free version, understand how the App is used, fix crashes, and manage Premium.
We do not use your information for profiling or for automated decisions that have legal effects.
7Your ad choices
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. You can also turn off personalized ads in your Google account’s ad settings.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before it uses identifiers for personalized ads and measurement. You can change your choice later in the App.
Subscribing to Premium removes ads.
8App permissions
| Permission | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| Camera (and flash) | Measure your heart rate with your fingertip. Used only during a measurement. Optional: you can enter readings yourself instead. |
| Internet and network state | Load ads, send analytics and crash reports, and check Premium status. |
| Advertising ID | Deliver and measure ads in the free version. |
| Google Play Billing | Buy and manage Premium. |
9Backups
The App allows Android’s backup and device-transfer features. If these are turned on, your device may store a copy of the App’s data in your Google Account or move it to a new phone. We do not control or access those copies.
10Data retention and deletion
Your readings stay on your device until you remove them. You can delete individual readings in the App, or open Settings and choose Delete all data to erase your readings, profile, and settings. This cannot be undone. It also does not cancel a subscription, which you manage in Google Play.
Uninstalling the App also removes its local data. Analytics and crash data are kept for a limited period set in our Firebase settings and then deleted automatically.
11Your rights and choices
You control your readings directly in the App: you can edit or delete any reading, or delete everything. You can withdraw any permission, including Camera, in your device settings at any time.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Contact us and we will respond within one month, free of charge.
Showing personalized ads may count as “sharing” under California law. You can opt out using the ad choices above or by contacting us.
Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
We process your health readings based on your explicit consent (GDPR Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). You give this consent by entering or measuring your readings, and you can withdraw it by deleting them. Where required, we rely on your consent for advertising and analytics identifiers. For crash reports, we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the App stable.
You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
12Security
Your readings are kept in the App’s private storage, which other apps cannot normally read. Data sent to Google services is encrypted in transit. Protect your device with a screen lock.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law where you live. We do not knowingly collect children’s information or show them personalized ads. Parents or guardians with concerns can contact us.
14Health disclaimer
The App gives general information and estimates based on what you measure and enter. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or a diagnosis.
Camera heart rate readings are estimates. Their accuracy depends on your device, lighting, and finger placement. BMI is a general screening measure and does not account for factors such as muscle mass, age, or pregnancy.
Do not use the App to diagnose or treat any condition, or to change your medication. Talk to a doctor about any health concern. If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, or other emergency symptoms, contact emergency services right away.
15Changes and business transfers
We may update this policy as the App changes. We will revise the effective date and post material changes on our website and the Google Play listing before they apply.
If the App is sold or merged, the new owner must honor this policy.
